Fourteen Years of Criminal Defense and Appellate Litigation
As an Appellate Defender, Theodore Lothstein has litigated over eighty appeals in the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
Ted learned how appellate courts operate, and how judges think, alone
and collaboratively,
while clerking for an Associate Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court.
As a trial lawyer with the New Hampshire Public Defender, Theodore Lothstein has tried over twenty-five jury trials ranging from shoplifting to driving while intoxicated to negligent homicide to first degree murder, and many more trials
and suppression hearings in New Hampshire District Courts.

Ten Years Teaching Lawyers in Private Practice and Public Service
As a Litigation Support Attorney with the New Hampshire Public Defender, Theodore Lothstein has taught seminars on the art and science of DWI
defense to hundreds of New Hampshire lawyers, including CLE (Continuing
Legal Education) programs sponsored by the New Hampshire Association of
Criminal Defense Lawyers (Oct. 19, 2007; May 19, 2006; May 21, 2004); the
New Hampshire Bar Association (Dec. 3, 2008; Dec. 7, 2005 and Feb. 15, 2002);
and Lorman Education Services (2006).
As an Adjunct Professor at St. Anselm College, Theodore Lothstein has taught courses in the criminal justice department in 2007 (Special Topics in Criminal Justice) and 2008 (Comparative Constitutional Law).
Ted lives in Concord with his family and enjoys hiking, camping, skiing and snowboarding.
Since early 2010, Ted Lothstein has had the good fortune to be affiliated with Eugene C. Struckhoff, III, a Lebanon, NH DWI defense lawyer, and founding member of the National College for DUI Defense, who, for more than 40 years, has successfully represented hundreds of clients charged with DWI through the State, primarily in Western and Northern NH, in Courts such as Lebanon, Claremont, Newport, Haverhill, Keene, Littleton, Concord, Laconia, New London, Plymouth, Jaffrey-Peterborough and others. In those regions of the State, the mantra can often be heard.... "DWI? Call Struckhoff!" because of the hundreds of drivers who avoided a DWI conviction thanks to his skill and experience.
Combined, Ted Lothstein and Gene Struckhoff have 57 years of experience handling DWI and other criminal cases. Put their experience, vast knowledge of DWI law and science, and proven courtroom skill to work for you.
